My name is Franklin Linker and I currently live with my wife Ree in Austin, TX, and work for Collings Guitars. After living many years in Jerusalem, Israel where I worked full-time at the International Christian Embassy Jerusalem as CFO, I decided to pursue my love of all things guitar. This pursuit lead me to attend the Algranati School of Luthiery and later the Galloup School of Lutherie in Big Rapids, MI.
My parents bought me my first electric guitar when I was 13, and soon regretted it. Through lessons, years and years of practice, and friends who pushed me to perform even though it scared the bejebus out of me, I’ve grown as a guitar player, and played on stage at King of Kings Assembly in Jerusalem almost every Sunday night in the worship team. But the truth is that though I enjoy playing the guitar, mostly I just love stringed instruments. Acoustic, electric, bass, archtops, lap steel, mandolin, ukelele - I’m interested in them all.
